A Starting Point

Welcome, weary web wanderer!

You’ve arrived at my personal blog page, where, as the subtitle suggests, I get to dump my thoughts. What thoughts, might you ask?

Thoughts about anything I want. My recurring topics include faith, technology, writing, entertainment in general, music in particular, politics, chess, guns, humor, and my favorite category – random thoughts.

Unfortunately, this site is constantly neglected by its author (me), as you can see from the many gaps in time between posts, but I try, then I try again, then I try some more. I chuckle sometimes as I look at my logo which claims I am an author and a blogger. I write…just not consistently, or well, according to some of the feedback I get. That’s OK, in regard to both deficiencies. I don’t make money from this site, it is purely a hobby, so I can choose to waste my resources maintaining and renewing it, year after year, every year hoping that I neglect it less than I did the year before.

If you watched carefully, you’ll notice that the topics above link to other pages. Using the links, you can jump right to a page with posts associated with that topic by clicking on it. More topics may be added as I continue to update this page.

If you read anything that you want to comment on, click “Feedback” in the main menu to go to a page where you can do that. Comments on individual posts are not enabled, as this just invites junk.

About Me

I’m a two-decade plus veteran of the information technology field. I blog recreationally here about topics such as current events, politics, writing, music, chess, faith, or whatever pops into my head.  I also blog about security, mostly information security, but physical security and privacy are also valid topics.
